SCOTLAND. James VI. 1567-1625. BI Hardhead (19mm, 1.28 g, 12h). Second issue. Type 2. Edinburgh mint. Struck November 1588. Crowned IR / Crowned lion rampant left; two pellets to right. Cf. SCBI 58 (Edinburgh), 1690-1735 (for type); SCBC 5518. Brown surfaces, some porosity. Near VF. Well struck.
