Russia Medal 1945 The "For the Liberation of Warsaw" medal is made of brass and has the shape of a regular circle with a diameter of 32 mm. On the front side at the top around the circle the inscription "FOR EXEMPTION" in the center there is an inscription on the "WARSAW" ribbon at the bottom there is a five-pointed star with diverging rays from it. The front side of the coin is bordered by a side. On the reverse side of the coin the date of the liberation of Warsaw is "January 17 1945" above the date is a five-pointed star.
All inscriptions and images on the medal are convex. The medal is connected with an eye and a ring to a pentagonal block. covered with a blue silk moire ribbon 24 mm wide. In the middle of the tape is a red strip 8 mm wide. The edges of the ribbon are bordered by narrow yellow stripes.
