Russia Medal 1945 The medal "For the capture of Budapest" is made of brass and has the shape of a regular circle with a diameter of 32 mm. On the front side of the coin: in the center is the inscription "FOR TAKING BUDAPEST" above the inscription there is a five-pointed asterisk at the top and the image of the sickle and hammer on two crossed laurel branches below. On the reverse side of the coin the date of the capture of Budapest: "February 13 1945" above the date is a five-pointed star. All inscriptions and images on the medal are convex. The front and back of the coin are bordered by a side. The medal with the help of an eye and a ring is connected to a pentagonal block covered with an orange silk moire ribbon 24 mm wide. In the middle of the tape is a blue strip 8 mm wide [2].
