IN • CAMBRIDGE, I A in centre, rose between (Cooper [1845], pp. 541; Babington 1; Searle 1; Boyne & Williamson 10; SCBI Norweb I, 366; Dickinson, Cambs 10), striking split and trace surface porosity, otherwise good fine, rare.

James Alders was a bailiff for the Cambridge Corporation for August 1653 to August 1657, and was subsequently appointed Common Councilman in 1662. He was buried at the Church of the Holy Trinity in 1678.
