Anonymous. 211-208 BC. AR Victoriatus (17mm, 3.38 g, 4h). Uncertain mint in Sicily. Laureate head of Jupiter right / Victory standing right, crowning trophy (trophy has a narrow post, double skirt, and a short bar under the skirt). Crawford 70/1; cf. Schaefer & Friedman, Figs. 15 & 17; cf. Sydenham 83 for type; cf. RSC 9 for type; cf. RBW 297 for type; CNG E-468, lot 221 (same dies). Toned, a few deposits, small obverse metal flaw. Near EF. A rare trophy variety that appears to be a combination of Schaefer & Friedman's Figures 15 and 17.
