Hadrian. AD 117-138. AV Aureus (19.5mm, 7.21 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck late AD 121-123. IMP CAESAR TRAIA N HADRIANVS AVG, laureate and cuirassed bust right, with exposed upper part of breastplate, wearing balteus / P M TR P COS III, Roma, helmeted and draped, seated left on cuirass, foot on helmet, holding Victory and spear; to right, round shield and bow and quiver. RIC II.3 536 (same dies as first illustration); Calicó 1334b (same obv. die as illustration); BMCRE 133 var. (same); Biaggi –; Jameson 102 var. (same); Mazzini –. Small contact mark on obverse, traces of deposits. VF. Wonderful bust type.
