Anna. Monacha (nun), circa 12th century. PB Seal (33mm, 12.67 g, 12h). Facing bust of the Theotokos, orans, MP ΘV, macron above each, across field; medallion of Holy Infant on breast / + ΘKЄ R,Θ,/ANNA MO/NAXH X(?) /NITO[...]; decoration above and below. Tan patina. VF. Struck on a dramatically oversized blank, a rare and impressive seal.
