Britain, Atrebates & Regni. Verica, 10-40. Stater (Gold, 17mm, 5.22g, 2h), "Warrior Rex" type. COM•F within shallow incuse tablet across field. Rev. VIR REX Warrior, holding spear in his (or her?) upraised right hand, riding horse galloping to right; to left and below, lituus over crescent. ABC 1190. BMC 1146-58. Mack 121. Van Arsdell 500-1. A fine piece with attractive reddish toning. Somewhat lightly struck and with some die breaks on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
