Kyzikos. Circa 550-500 BC. Hekte (Electrum, 10.5 mm, 2.70 g). Head of a tunny fish to right, with open jaws; above, multi-finned fish (another tunny?) swimming to right; to left, lotus flower on stem with leaves. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. Von Fritze 13. SNG Paris 170. An extremely rare early type, with an unusually cluttered, but interesting, obverse. Very fine.
