Uncertain. Circa 600-550 BC. Hekte or Sixth Stater (Electrum, 10 mm, 2.24 g), Lydo-Milesian standard. Pair of conjoined lions' heads – only one, with a powerful eye and open jaws, is visible here. Rev. Two incuse squares with a "horse-shoe" pattern. Linzalone 1067. SNG Kayhan 1539. A bold piece, clearly struck from an obverse die designed to be used on large coins, i.e. trites, as Roma XVIII, 2019, 592, but primarily known, as here, from its use for hentai. Extremely fine.
