Phokaia. Circa 521-478 BC. Diobol (Silver, 10 mm, 1.32 g). Head of a nymph to left, wearing plain sakkos, curved earring, and a pearl necklace. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. SNG Copenhagen 389-393. SNG von Aulock 1815. With an extremely attractive head of the finest late Archaic style. Light surface roughness and with the eye curiously engraved, otherwise, extremely fine.
