Ducat Klippe (Gold, 18x18 mm, 3.52 g, 12 h), on the new century, struck on a square flan with floral decoration in the corner spandrels, mint master Carl Gottlieb Lauffer, 1746-1755, with the date given in chronogram form on the reverse, M D C C. + SAECVLVM NOVVM CELEBRAT RESP.NORINBERGENS Dove with spread wings standing left above three shields of arms; below, in tiny letters, C G L. Rev. TEMPORA NOSTRA PATER DONATA PACE CORONA: Pascal lamb, with banner inscribed PAX over his right shoulder, standing left on globe. Erlanger 591. Fb 1886. Kellner 73. Clear and attractive. Lightly struck and with some minor marks, otherwise, extremely fine.
