IN.MEMO/RIAM.REGIAE./CORONATION./ ET.COMITORVM/RATISBON:ANO/M.D.C.LIII all within an elaborately decorated circular frame; below, mintmaster's initials HF. Rev. RESPICIT HAEC POPVLVM.RESPICIT ILLA POLVM Crowned Imperial double-eagle above globus cruciger; above to left, sun with rays; behind to left and right, city view; below, landscape with a group of men looking upwards. Cf. Montenuovo 843. Plato 120. UBS 60, 2004, 26 (same dies). Extremely rare. A splendid, bright and lightly toned example. Some very minor striking flatness at the center and possible (?) traces of mounting, otherwise, extremely fine.
