Banque du Zaire, a selection of notes with regional handstamps comprising 5 zaires (16) all dated 24 November 1977, green, Mobutu at right, all circular handstamp at right, also 10 zaires (5), blue, Mobutu at right, handstamp in field, (Pick R3, R4), these notes supposed to be handed in to exchange for new currency but due to a shortage of the new currency in certain regions old notes were handstamped to validate, generally extremely fine or better (21).
