ANCIENT COINS. GREEK. Corinth (c.405-345 B.C.), Silver Stater, 8.52g, 9h. Pegasos flying left, koppa below. Rev. Head of Athena facing right, wearing a Corinthian helmet with a neck flap, a rose behind (Ravel 408 (P200/T283), pl. XXVII (this coin); Calciati, Pegasi, 117; SNG Lockett 2054 (this coin)). Struck from fresh dies on very good metal, outstanding old cabinet tone and a fine old pedigree, extremely fine, a superb example.
