ANCIENT COINS. GREEK. Kingdom of Pergamon, Eumenes I (263-241 B.C.), Silver Tetradrachm, 17.17g, 1h. Head of Philetairos facing right, wearing a diadem, dotted border. Rev. ΦIΛETAIPOY, Athena enthroned left, supporting a shield with her right hand and resting her left elbow on a small statue of a sphinx, a spear rests at her side, an ivy-leak above her knee, a monogram on throne, a bow on right (SNG France 1608; De Luynes 2503). Well-struck in high relief on both obverse and reverse, attractively toned, good extremely fine.
