ANCIENT COINS. GREEK. Uncertain Mint in Ionia (c.620-550 B.C.), Electrum Trite, 4.73g. Crude Pegasos, with curved wing, walking left. Rev. Two square punches, with irregular surfaces (Weidauer 148; Babelon, Traité I, pl. 2, 25; Boston 1761; W. Greenwell, "On Some Rare Greek Coins," NC 1890, p. 28, pl. 3, 17). Small test mark on Pegasos's hindquarters, about very fine. Very rare.
