ANCIENT COINS. GREEK. Satraps of Caria, Maussollos (377-353 B.C.), Silver Drachm, 2.91g, 12h. Mint of Halikarnassos. Head of Apollo facing, inclined slightly to right, wearing a laurel-wreath. Rev. MAYΣΣΩΛ[ΛO], Zeus Labraundos standing right, wearing a chiton and a himation, holding a spear in his left hand and a double-headed axe (labrys) over his shoulder in his right, a wreath on left (SNG Finland 276). Good very fine.
