ANCIENT COINS. GREEK. Dynasts of Lycia, Kherei (c.410-390 B.C.), Silver Stater, 8.39 g, 12h. Head of Athena facing right, wearing an Attic helmet adorned with olive-leaves. Rev. Lycian legend 'Kherei' above forepart of a kneeling bull right, all within incuse square (Hurter, INJ 14, pl. 2, 8; cf Mørkholm & Zahle AA 47, 53; SNG Copenhagen Sup. 456 (hemidrachm)). An old mark on cheek, slight porosity, about very fine.
