ANCIENT COINS. GREEK. Sicily, Akragas (c.425-400 B.C.), AE Hemilitron, 22.59g, 12h. Eagle standing right, its wings slightly open and head raised screaming, holding a tunny fish in talons. Rev. Crab, holding an eel in its left claw, a conch shell and an octopus below, six pellets in field (SNG ANS 1031; SNG Copenhagen 72; Gabrici p. 114, 16; Rynearson, Collecting Ancient Greek Coins 4c (this coin)). Even dark green patina, very fine / extremely fine. Rare.
