ANCIENT COINS. GREEK. Kingdom of Syria, Seleucid Kings, Tryphon (142-138 B.C.), Silver Drachm, 4.02g, 1h. Mint of Antioch. Diademed head of Tryphon facing right, with flowing hair. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ TPYΦΩNOΣ AYTOKPATOPOΣ, ornate Macedonian helmet to left, with a spike and a goat's horn, a monogram on left (Houghton & Lorber, SC 2033a; Newell, SMA 265). Almost invisible crack in a broad flan, toned, about extremely fine.
