An insignificant banker's mark in the obverse field, otherwise a wonderful example of a rarely available issue, with a superb old iridescent cabinet tone, good very fine, a very appealing coin.
This issue was struck to commemorate the Ludi Saeculares that were held by Augustus in 17 B.C. The Secular Games were intended to mark a New Age brought about by the Divine Julius and his heir.
Sold with an old collector's ticket.
