ANCIENT COINS. ROMAN. Titus (A.D. 79-81), AE Sestertius, 26.22g, 6h. Struck as Caesar in A.D. 72. Judaea Capta Series. T CAES VESPASIAN IMP PON TR POT COS II, laureate head of Titus facing right. Rev. IVDAEA CAPTA, emperor, holding a spear and parazonium and with this left foot on a helmet, standing facing right beside a palm-tree, Jewess sits mourning on right, S C in exergue (RIC 422; Hendin 1523; BMC 631). Some light surface erosion on reverse, good portrait, brown tone, very fine to good very fine. Very rare.
