ISLAMIC COINS. ARAB SASANIAN. Anonymous. Silver Drachm, AKWLA = Kufa 72h or 73h. AR, 2.74g. Obv. Margin: full kalima, before ruler's face Muhammad rasul Allah (Unpublished in all major references). Very fine, clipped. Extremely rare.
It is likely that this may have been the initial coinage of Bishr bin Marwan, because his brother, the Caliph 'Abd al-Malik was the ruler who popularised the use of the second portion of the kalima on his coins.
