TAPAΣ, Taras seated astride dolphin to left, holding a water snake in his extended right hand and a whip in his left, KON below (Vlasto 656 (this obverse die); Fischer-Bossert 974 (V378/R750); HN Italy 942). A well-struck and detailed example, with a superb deep old cabinet tone, extremely fine, a wonderful and aesthetically appealing example.
