Charioteer, wearing a long chiton and holding a kentron and the reins, driving a quadriga right, Nike flies above to right to crown the horses, grasshopper (only lightly and partially visible) in the exergue. Rev. ΣY-PA-[KOΣION], head of Arethusa facing left, her hair bound with a cord wound five times around her head, and wearing an earring and necklace, two pairs of dolphins, facing each other, on left and right (K. A spectacular example of the most beautiful depiction of Arethusa from this period, a coin of outstanding early classical style coupled with a strong reverse strike on superb metal and a wonderful old cabinet tone, about extremely fine.
