WORLD COINS. ITALY. Ulisse Musotti, Bolognese Jurisconsult (c.1508-1515). Cast Bronze Medal, c.1510. AE, 141.96g, 67mm. Attributed to Francesco Raibolini, called Francesco Francia, of Bologna (1450/53-1517). Obv. Bust left, wearing doublet and soft hat, VLIXES MVSOTVS I D ANT FILIVS. Rev. Open book rests on another, closed, celestial globe above and surrounded by instruments of learning (Hill, Corpus 608; Arm III, 198; T&V, I, 1278; V&T Bardini 30). An old cast. Very fine.
