Louis XV copper Uniface Reverse Trial Franco-American Jeton 1754-Dated XF/AU, cf. Br-514 (for reverse type), Betts-389 (same), Lec-129-139 (same). 29mm. 29.06gm. Bonded to a lead 'planchet' approximately 4mm thick. A highly peculiar item, perhaps meant to serve as some sort of display or trial/sample piece, judging from the thin copper layer bonded to a thick lead base, and likely unique as such. The design appears the same as the standard Br-514 reverse, though the denticles are interestingly quite weakly executed and the die was clearly quite rusted.
