Nova Scotia. Victoria bronzed Specimen "Mayflower" Penny 1856 SP64 Brown NGC, Br-875, cf. NS-6A1 (unlisted in coin alignment), Haxby-MS-9, Robins-29182. Plain edge. Coin alignment. Variety with LCW initials. Only the second representative of this formerly unpublished variety of the adopted Mayflower Penny design we have offered, featuring a delightful antiqued hardwood-like finish to the surfaces as a result of the bronzing process (not noted on the holder).
Adopted obverse (Haxby die SP-2): Short tiara (at its right end the hair touches the jewel at top and the band ends with a lozenge).
Adopted reverse (Haxby die SP-B): Upper left serif of N of TOKEN is doubled.
