Nova Scotia "Anchor/H" 1/2 Penny Token 1816 AU50 Brown NGC, Br-Unl., NS-30 (Extremely Rare), Courteau-35 (R9), Robins-29139. Plain edge. Medal alignment. An incredibly rare issue within the Nova Scotia series, entirely absent from Breton's catalog, and now known to have been struck for the Halifax, Nova Scotia trade. While expressing some of the minor porosity over the N's in Halfpenny known for the issue, this is virtually the only evidence of porosity on the piece, with even traces of die polish in the obverse margins. Presently the finest certified example of the type, we sold an XF45 Brown piece for $9000 in our last Robins sale. We note that Mr. Robins left a notation with this piece that it was coin alignment.
