Lower Canada. Bank of Montreal Mule "Side View" 1/2 Penny Token 1839 MS62 Brown NGC, KM-Tn15, Br-524 (R4), LC-10B3, Courteau-35 (R8), Robins-29457. Plain edge. Coin alignment. Pairing the obverse of LC-10B1 (roof points to L in Montreal, 15 palings in left fence) with reverse of LC-B2 (beaver's head high). The second finest of just three certified, all of them from Mr. Robins collection. Most elusive in all grades, let alone certified this highly, with the sole choice specimen bringing $4080 in our last Robins sale. Mislabeled on the holder as LC-10B2.
