Lower Canada "Commercial Change" 1/2 Penny Token ND AU53 Brown NGC, Br-1007 (R1-1/2), LC-59A, Courteau-45 (R8), Robins-29324. Plain edge. Coin alignment. Large bust type. A very rare token, both in general and conditionally speaking, with this being only the third example we have handled. From a technical perspective, the strike appears admirably even, with weakness in the center of the reverse kept to an absolute minimum. For reference, we sold a VF20-certified specimen for $1762 in our January 2017 New York sale.
