Lower Canada silver "Wellington" Peninsular Token 1812 UNC Details (Obverse Spot Removed) NGC, Br-987 var. (listed only in copper and brass), WE-11A1, WEL-04c var. (button appears closer to lapel). Edge reeded right. Medal alignment. Laurel wreath with 10 leaves and 4 berries, double loop on bow, and middle lock of hair larger than those above and below. Coat button is closer to the lapel and coat line ends at third tassel. On reverse, legends begins CUIDAD and ends SALAMANCA - JULY 22. 1812. - &c. &c. &c. An interesting variant on Marelic's WE-04, where the button appears midway between the collar and lapel. It is quite similar to WEL-12, but clearly shows 10 rather than 9 leaves.
