Lower Canada silver Proof "Wellington" Peninsular Token 1812 PR63 NGC, Br-987 var. (listed only in copper and brass), WE-11A2, WEL-05b (R10), Robins-29280. Edge reeded diagonally right. Medal alignment. Laurel wreath with 10 leaves and 3 berries, bow with double loop, one small lock above two large locks, and coat line ending at third tassel. On reverse, legend begins with CUIDAD and ends with SALAMANCA - JULY 22 1812 - &c. &c. &c. For reference, we sold a PR63 of this same variety for $2400 in our previous Doug Robins sale.
