Lower Canada silver "Wellington" Peninsular Token 1812 AU Details (Obverse Scratched) NGC, Br-987 var. (listed only in copper and brass), WE-Unl., WEL-12 var. (R10; 10 rather than 9 leaves). Edge reeded right. Medal alignment. Laurel wreath with 10 leaves and 4 berries, bow with double loop, large lock of hair between two smaller locks. Coat button is closer to lapel, coat line ends at third tassel. On reverse, legends starts CUIDAD and ends SALAMANCA - JULY 22. 1812 - &c. &c. &c. Closest to Marelic's WEL-12, although it seems to quite clearly show a 10th leaf at the front of the head. Mislabeled on the holder as WE-11A4.
