Lower Canada "Wellington" Peninsular Token 1812 MS66 Brown NGC, Br-986, WE-11B2, WEL-16 (R4). Edge reeded diagonally. Medal alignment. Variety with 10 leaves and 4 berries in laurel wreath, double loop in bow, and large lock between two small locks. Coat button is midway between collar and lapel, and coat line ends at third tassel. On the reverse, legend begins CUIDAD and ends MADRID - AUG 12. 1812., missing stop after JAN. Hardly imaginable meaningfully finer, and a state of preservation which simply seldom exists in the Wellington series. Mislabeled on the holder at WE-11B3.
