Compagnie Maritime Belge, plate, scratches and corosion spots, with a suspension framework, badge, light knocks to enamel, very fine to extremely fine ; Shipwreck of the training ship in 1906, one with corrosion spots, very fine. (4) NOTE: The Compagnie Maritime Belge du Congo (C.M.B.C.), was founded in 1895 and it ensured the maritime connection of cargo, postal mail and people between Antwerp and the Congo Free State. On February 20th 1930, the C.M.B.C. acquired the leader of the Belgian merchant navy, the Lloyd Royale Belge and changed its name to Compagnie Maritime Belge. The liaison with the Congo remains a priority but it developed other routes to the Americas and the Far East. Since 1970's, it specialised in the transportation of commodities, containers, oil and refrigerated LPG.
