AR. g. 3.80 mm. 20.50 An appealing and interesting type. Superb portrait. Very minor banker's mark and almost invisible graffito on obverse. VF.

Mercury was the inventor of the lyre and the protector of commerce. This may refer to the restoration of commerce to Italy after the battle of Naulochus. (RSC I, p. 135, 61 note).
