SASANIAN KINGS. Pērōz (Fīrūz) I. AD 457/9-484. AR Drachm (27mm, 4.11 g, 3h). BBA (Court) mint. Struck circa AD 465-474. Bust right, wearing crown with frontal crescent, and korymbos set on crescent, ribbon over left shoulder / Fire altar with ribbons; flanked by two attendants; star and crescent flanking flames, bba (in Pahlavi) to right. SNS III Type IIa/1e, 98; cf. Sunrise 941. Lightly toned, typical rough engraving for issue. EF.
