Facing mask of Medusa with disheveled hair, without serpents / Victory (or winged Aurora) flying right, head slightly left, holding reins and conducting four rearing horses of the sun. Crawford 453/1d; CRI 29a var. (PLANCVS on reverse); Sydenham 959b var. (same); Plautia 15b; RBW –. Toned, a couple minor marks. VF. Rare variety with PLANCV on the reverse.
