SC-2148 (Antiochos VII); HGC-7, 829. In the name and types of Antiochos VII of Syria. Obverse: Diademed head of Antiochos VII right; Reverse: Athena standing left, holding spear and Nike crowning royal name; to outer left, monogram above A; O to inner left, Λ to inner right; all within laurel wreath. Lightly toned and struck on a broad flan, these types were traditionally attributed to Antiochos VII, though recent scholarship has concluded that they are actually Cappadocian issues continuing in the style of the Seleukids.
