ARMENIA. Tram, ND (1198-1219). Sis Mint. Levon I. NGC MS-65.
3.07 gms. cf. AC-282-3 (for type). Obverse: Levon seated facing on throne, holding globus cruciger and lis; Reverse: Two lions rampant back-to-back, each with head reverted, patriarchal cross between them. A boldly struck and highly lustrous example, though slightly uneven, with well defined intricate details on both sides. This eye catching example offers a thin layer of tone that graces the high points while the open fields remain bright and flashy.
