Cribb-5B; cf. Adams III-2175. Weight: 7.68 gms. Struck under the Kidarite king Kidara. Obverse: Bahram standing left, wearing elaborate crown and holding trident; to left, trident above altar; tamgha to right; Reverse: Siva standing facing, holding diadem and trident; behind, bull Nandi standing left. A well struck and nicely preserved example with plenty of luster on both sides. The reverse exhibits signs of being struck multiple times some muddling the design while the obverse clear and well defined. A handsome and bright example of this ancient type.
