Republic Yuan Shih-kai "Plumed Hat" Dollar ND (1916) MS62 PCGS, Tientsin mint, KM-Y332, L&M-942, Kann-663. A blazing cartwheel effect carries across the obverse surfaces of this crisply struck "Plumed Hat" dollar, the reverse displaying a flashy reflectivity, with a very subtle touch of peripheral toning exhibited to both sides. Only light grazes establish the assigned grade, though essentially none of these are significant enough to be visible at all angles. As a type, a recognized prize of the Chinese series, and, in Mint State in particular, a continuous target for high-end collections.
