Republic Hsu Shih-chang "Pavilion" Dollar Year 10 (1921) MS64 NGC, Tientsin mint, Kann-676, L&M-864, WS-0101. Reeded edge. Issued to commemorate the succession of Hsu Shih-chang to the office of President in 1918, and in celebration of his 67th birthday. A very select grade for this frequently poorly treated commemorative, with just 21 examples out of around 350 seen between NGC and PCGS certifying finer, and even those only by one or two grade points. Featuring a nearly specimen finish that couples with a medallic level of production to leave utterly little wanting, it is difficult to imagine a much more pleasing representative.
