Republic Tsao Kun silver "Inauguration" Medal ND (1923) AU, Barac-149, KM-X1231, Kann-Plate 189, L&M-960, WS-0106. 36mm. 30.30gm. Plain edge. With suspension and (likely later) ribbon. A notably rare medal produced for Tsao Kun's inauguration as President of the Republic, exhibiting only the lightest degree of rub on the highest points of the design and a soft lilac tone. More frequently seen with the suspension removed, and thus quite pleasing to find in its original state, though the ribbon is likely a later replacement (Barac indicates the colors should be black, white, blue, yellow, and red). Sold with padded bamboo case.
