Prussia. Alfred Graf von Waldersee silver Specimen "Steamer Sachsen" Medal 1900 SP66 PCGS, Marienburg-7792. 38.5mm. A superb specimen offering tremendous visual appeal, the centers luxuriously satiny and graced with light golden peach tones, framed by a ring of silvery brilliance at the periphery. An item of great significance to Chinese colonial history, as Waldersee served as Generalfeldmarschall (General Field Marshall) during the Boxer rebellion, which he was sent to pacify by way of the steamboat Coburg-Sachsen in 1900.
