Rama IV gold 2-1/2 Baht (Pat Dueng) ND (1863) MS64 NGC, Bangkok mint, KM-Y13, Krisadaolarn/Mihailovs-pg. 163, Plate F31. An appealing selection of the type, cleanly struck and lustrous, with a slight ghosting of the concentric circles of the elephant and chakra design visible upon the opposite face, a seemingly commonplace characteristic for this smaller gold type. An important denomination of the Thai series, and highly collectible in this admirable state of preservation. Sold with collection envelope.
