Qing Dynasty. Uncertain Round Sycee of 1 Tael ND, Cribb-Unl., Tai, Sycee Online, Ogl/1. 23mm. 30.36gm. Stamped: "San Yuan Ji Di" (Blessing for good results in the examination). According to Tai this inscription refers to passing the three examinations held by the County, Provincial, and Central governments. A notably rare and historically fascinating piece, almost certainly bestowed as a prestigious gift.
