All Hong Kong banknotes issued by Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corp. from 1900 to 1902 are extremely rare, and only seldom appear even in Specimen form. This initial denomination features the first of two dates known for the type. The serial numbers follow in sequential order from the previous series, indicating just how few notes were prepared and issued. We have not offered this catalog number previously.
